Who are we?
Speech Banannie Services is owned and operated by Annie Nguyen Blakely, M.S., CCC-SLP.
We am committed to helping individuals develop their communication skills so that they can become their best advocates. Our work focuses on the whole person- harnessing individual strengths and interests to cultivate growth in areas of need. Learning can, and SHOULD be fun!
Collaboration is an essential part of this practice. We involve our clients and their families in the planning and treatment process to maximize outcomes.

Professional Experience
I graduated from California State University- Northridge with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders & Sciences (2011) and a Masters of Science degree in Speech Pathology (2014). I have been practicing speech-language pathology in the educational setting since 2015 and have worked with students of varying ability levels from preschool to 22 years of age. I hold a license to practice in both California and Nevada.
Outside of my employment, I am also proud to contribute to the wonderful field of speech-language pathology by serving as a Clinical Educator for graduate students of San Jose State University. Since 2016, I have supervised and prepared graduate students entering the workforce, guiding them in working with clients and families.
Getting to know my clients and discovering their personalities and interests brings me joy. What works for one person may not work for another, and I am passionate about finding what works for each individual. It is the most wonderful and rewarding feeling to see my clients develop the skills they need to be able to function to the best of their ability.
Life Beyond Work
I was born and raised in San Jose, California and lived in Los Angeles, California while pursuing my degrees. I returned to the Bay Area in 2015 and have been here since.
Being a California native, I have always enjoyed spending time outside with nature. I am as comfortable lounging at the beach as I am hiking in a shady forest. Exploring the outdoors is something that my husband and I both enjoy, and we like to plan our adventures to include our lovely pups as much as possible.
Our family is growing and I am proud to be a mother of a toddler with another tiny human on the way. Being able to experience my son’s firsts with him has been the most beautiful experience of my existence. Life is certainly more challenging in many ways but also more fulfilling. I appreciate knowing first-hand how things look with a parent lens and this has impacted me positively in my ability to relate to and work with families in my profession.
Life is an adventure and I am grateful to be on this journey every day.
