Auditory Habilitation/Rehabilitation
At Speech Banannie Services, we provide auditory habilitation and rehabilitation to support children with hearing loss in developing strong listening and spoken language skills. Whether a child is newly identified with hearing loss, has received cochlear implants or hearing aids, or is navigating language delays related to auditory access, our therapy is designed to meet them where they are.
Auditory habilitation focuses on teaching children to listen and communicate effectively when they have never had typical hearing. Auditory rehabilitation supports those who are re-learning to hear or understand language after a period of hearing loss.
Our individualized therapy may include:
Auditory training to improve listening and sound discrimination
Spoken language development to support vocabulary, grammar, and expressive skills
Speech sound work to ensure clear articulation as auditory feedback improves
Family coaching to help caregivers create rich listening environments at home
We are happy to collaborate closely with audiologists, teachers, and other service providers to create a coordinated support team that improves outcomes and helps children thrive across all environments.
